Die Regierung hat keine weitere Antwort als brutale gewaltsame Repression. Und das soll das neue post-Mugabe Zimbabwe sein, \u201eopen for business\u201c?<br>\nDas Zimbabwe Netzwerk e.V. schliesst sich dem Protest der Bev\u00f6lkerung an und fordert die Regierung Zimbabwes auf, die Gewalt gegen die Bev\u00f6lkerung sofort einzustellen und sich endlich den schwerwiegenden Problemen des Landes zu widmen. Dazu ist ein breiter gesellschaftlicher Dialog notwendig. Die staatliche Behinderung der freien Kommunikation und Meinungs\u00e4u\u00dferung muss gestoppt werden, und die Verantwortlichen f\u00fcr die brutale Repression geh\u00f6ren vor Gericht. Zus\u00e4tzlich fordern wir die bedingungslose Freilassung aller derzeit im Rahmen der Proteste Inhaftierten.<\/p>\n<p>Zimbabwe is in dire straits: sudden massive price increases, inflation, growing unemployment and further economic and social decline paralyse daily life and have resulted in widespread demonstrations. The government has no other response than brutal forceful repression. Is that what the new post-Mugabe Zimbabwe is about, \u201copen for business\u201d?<br>\nThe Zimbabwe Network joins the protests of the Zimbabwean people and calls upon the Government of Zimbabwe to immediately stop the violence against its citizens, in order to start dealing with the underlying urgent problems that Zimbabwe has. To tackle these problems, a broad societal dialog appears necessary. The obstruction of free communication and expression by the state has to be terminated immediately, and those responsible for the brutal repression must be taken to court.
